Electro-Mechanical Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Electromechanical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all electromechanical systems within the facility. This role includes leading a team of technicians, ensuring equipment is running efficiently, and troubleshooting issues that arise. The supervisor must possess strong experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex electrical and mechanical systems.

 

Duties:

  • Lead and manage a team of electromechanical technicians.

  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure work is completed efficiently and safely.

  • Provide training and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and installation of electromechanical systems, including motors, drives, conveyors, and automated machinery.

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and regulatory standards.

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.

  • Program, maintain, and troubleshoot PLC systems used in the facility.

  • Modify existing PLC programs to improve efficiency and address issues.

  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults in PLC-controlled equipment.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and spare parts inventory.

  • Prepare reports on equipment performance, maintenance issues, and corrective actions taken.

  • Assist in the development of maintenance budgets and monitor expenses.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an electromechanical maintenance role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.

  • Extensive experience with PLC systems, including programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation.

Experience:

Programmable logic controllers: 3 years (Preferred)
Mechanical knowledge: 5 years (Preferred)
